The article discusses six claims about food and immunity that have a drawback, such as the lack of evidence that any food or dietary supplement can provide protection from coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19). These include the belief that food can boost the immune system since the concept of boosting the immune system is flawed, the ability of zinc to help immune system grow and differentiate, and the misconception that nutrients in food can help fight COVID-19 virus.
