- Abstract:
  The article presents the discussion on the risk factors of diabetes mellitus (DM) and uncontrolled hyperglycemia. Topics include acknowledging the diabetes being linked to comorbidities such as cardiovascular disease, renal insufficiency, and obesity; and relating upregulation of Angiotensin Converting Enzyme II being the reason behind the increased severity of COVID-19 infections in the patients.
